How are you preparing for your study abroad experience?
In preparation for my study abroad, I have worked with my host university to enroll me in my designated courses. The process of finding equivalent credits between Curtin University and Northern Arizona University was extremely tedious! After about two weeks of trying to match courses offered for my degree in Flagstaff to those offered at Curtin University, I just about gave up. I ended up deciding on one engineering course and four liberal studies courses. Aside from the academic portion of my excursion, I have also arranged my overseas transportation, paid my housing and tuition fees, and set aside an appropriate budget for traveling. I even devoted some of this money to buying necessary items such as a waterproof jacket and outlet converters.

What do you want to get out of this experience?
During my time in Australia, I look forward to developing a respect for cultural diversity. Living amongst individuals from around the world and receiving the opportunity to work with them in college will broaden my acceptance of those associated differences. I hope to bring this enlightened perspective back to the United States for future use with other international individuals. I would also like to cultivate new connections with my foreign colleagues. Establishing these relationships could further supplement me with traveling opportunities in the future. Amongst these goals includes meeting my extended family, expanding my culinary pallet, and accumulating knowledge on the continent's culture.
